How It All Began
I’ll admit to you, launching a real silver jewellery business was never part of my master plan. While I’ve always held big ambitions, I imagined myself opening an events agency, becoming a lawyer, or perhaps a teacher, my dreams evolved as I did.
My professional path eventually led me to Human Resources, a field that felt aligned with my natural instinct to support people’s growth and development. I loved staying connected with others and helping them realise their potential, so if I ever pictured starting something of my own, it was in the world of recruitment or HR consultancy.
Then I met my partner, who is from Egypt and has spent most of his life in the jewellery industry. Through him, I was introduced to a world I’d admired from afar but never imagined being part of. As I discovered the craftsmanship and beauty behind handcrafted Egyptian jewellery, I began to dream about the kind of brand we could create together, and Nile & Nova was born. Seeing it as an opportunity to create meaningful pieces, while still having the human connection and community building that I so very much love about my previous positions, It was a gentle reminder that life often leads you exactly where you’re meant to be, even if it’s not on the path you planned.
The Vision: Jewellery That Tells a Story
I’ve always loved clothes and jewellery, things that, to me, tell a story about a person before you’ve even exchanged a single word. They’re a form of self-expression, a personal work of art that you share with the world.
When I began dreaming of Nile & Nova, I knew I wanted to create jewellery that tells a story. Pieces that are handmade to reflect the incredible skill of artisans, crafted to accompany you through life’s core memories, and perhaps one day passed down through generations, becoming heirlooms through the precious metal they’re made from.
Beyond the pieces themselves, I wanted to build a brand that celebrates every woman’s beauty and the meaningful moments we share. Nile & Nova isn’t just about finding unique, affordable luxury jewellery. It’s also about connection, storytelling, and belonging.
As someone originally from England, now living in Rome and deeply connected to Egypt through both my partner and our artisans, I realised that Nile & Nova could tell stories on a grander scale. Each collection draws inspiration from these places, their energy, their culture, their craft, creating not only a platform for real silver jewellery, but a community that connects incredible women from all over the world. Through every design, and every #NovaMoment shared, we celebrate the stories that unite us.

Italy, meanwhile, brings balance, a sense of effortless elegance and modern design. Living in Rome, I’ve always been inspired by the way beauty is woven into everyday life here. From the quiet confidence of Italian women to the graceful lines of the architecture that surrounds us, Italy reminds me that simplicity can still be powerful. It’s this influence that gives Nile & Nova its clean, sculptural forms and understated sophistication.
Together, these two worlds create harmony. Egypt gives soul; Italy gives style. One speaks of roots, the other of evolution. And at their meeting point stands Nile & Nova, a brand born from heritage and heart, but designed for the modern woman who values both meaning and self-expression.

The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Nile & Nova came to me as a reflection of everything the brand stands for, two worlds, two energies, beautifully connected.
The Nile represents heritage, depth, and life, a symbol of Egypt’s timeless artistry and the roots of where our pieces are created. It carries history, culture, and soul.
Nova, meaning “new star”, symbolises light, rebirth, and possibility.
Together, Nile & Nova is a union of the past and the present, of tradition and modern expression. It’s about embracing where you come from while daring to create something new, just as every woman who wears our pieces continues her own story.
